Robert serves as the chief fundraising officer for the university and the leader of Quincy’s fundraising, communication, and alumni relations efforts. He works closely with the President on major and principal gifts and manages staff to identify, cultivate, solicit, recognize, and steward donors and carries a portfolio of major donor prospects. Robert advises the President, leadership team and the Board of Trustees on all issues related to University Advancement.
Before coming to QU, Robert served as President of Coker University (SC) for 10 years, where he oversaw an expansion of Coker’s campus and a dramatic increase in enrollment. Coker wasnamed one of the five most innovative colleges and universities in the southeast during his tenure by U.S. News and World Report and was also ranked nationally by Washington Monthlyand The Princeton Review. Under his leadership, the college’s endowment grew by 43% with fundraising totaling approximately $50 million. Additionally, the University was the recipient of multi-million-dollar grants from the National Science Foundation, the Teagle Foundation, and the Sonoco Foundation.
Prior to Robert’s time at Coker, he served as the Dean of the Breech School of Business at Drury University (MO) and the McAfee School of Business at Union University (TN). Robert and his wife Nancy have been married for 28 years and have one daughter, Lara, a senior at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
